  1. How to tweak WINMX settings.
  2.  
  3. For cable modem conections
  4.  
  5. Click on bandwidth button.
  6.  
  7. Set download bandwidth to 10000000 bytes per second
  8.  
  9. Set upload bandwidth to 50000000 bytes per second
  10.  
  11. Ensure ticks are in the boxes.
  12.  
  13. Then set your throttle cycle to 50m/s, this should be good if you have a good
  14. PC with big memory, if not or you have problems reset it back to 250m/s
  15.  
  16. Use the settings and watch your speed increase dramaticaly especially if 
  17. the other user has set them the same.
  18.  
  19. I have gone from an average of 4.5k/s to 30k/s using these settings when
  20. the other user has them also.
